What’s the difference between urgent care and the emergency room?

Urgent care is for non-life-threatening issues that still need prompt evaluation, like minor injuries or common infections. The ER is for severe or potentially life-threatening symptoms.

Do I need an appointment?

Many urgent care visits can be handled as walk-in or same-day scheduling, depending on availability. Calling ahead can help confirm hours and reduce wait time.

Will you prescribe antibiotics?

If your clinician determines an antibiotic is appropriate (for example, for certain bacterial infections), they may prescribe one. Many illnesses are viral and don’t benefit from antibiotics.
