Sarah Debs

Sarah Lauren Debs, MD is an otolaryngologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, magna cum laude, from Whitman College, where she also minored in Chemistry and Psychology.

Dr. Debs completed her residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received comprehensive training in the medical and surgical management of both routine and complex ENT conditions. Throughout her training, she developed special interests in pediatric otolaryngology, sleep surgery, facial trauma, sinonasal disease, and head and neck surgery.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Debs has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at national and regional meetings, including the Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meetings (COSM), the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNSF), and the SLEEP Annual Meeting. Her research has focused on pediatric airway disorders, sleep apnea, facial trauma, cochlear implantation, and quality improvement in otolaryngology. She has also received recognition for her academic contributions, earning awards from both the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology and COSM.

In addition to her clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Debs is passionate about quality improvement, patient safety, and community service. She has served in leadership roles within her residency program and volunteers with organizations supporting cancer screening, food insecurity, and children's education.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Debs enjoys golf, cycling, pottery, embroidery, and preparing traditional Chinese cuisine.
