Makayla Fikrat

As a native Californian, I am thrilled to be back in my home state and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve my community. After growing up in Pleasanton, I went on to complete my undergraduate studies at the University of Reno, Nevada followed by my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Vermont.

I chose family medicine because I love the wide scope of primary care and the ability to work with people of all ages. Building meaningful relationships with my patients is one of the most fulfilling parts of my practice and acts as a consistent reminder as to why I chose this profession. With a special interest in headache medicine, I focus on holistic care, education, and shared decision-making to achieve lasting wellness.

Outside of the clinic, I love spending time with my large extended family. My hobbies include hiking, skiing, cooking, and gardening, with my newest hobby being wheel-thrown pottery.
