Dr. Patricia Maska Honored with the 2025 Royer Award


BASS Medical Group proudly announces that Dr. Patricia Suzanne Maska, neurologist, has been awarded the 2025 Royer Award, a prestigious honor recognizing a Bay Area neurologist for outstanding contributions to the advancement of neurology.
Dr. Maska was selected for her exemplary service to the neurological community, excellence in teaching, and her role as a mentor and leader in the field. Practicing in the Bay Area since 2006, Dr. Maska has built a reputation as a compassionate physician and respected educator.
A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Maska completed her medical training at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and has been recognized for her leadership within the San Francisco Neurological Society, where she has played a key role in mentoring medical students and advising young physicians.
In her practice, Dr. Maska treats a wide range of neurological conditions with a particular focus on migraines and spine disorders. Her peers regard her as both a role model and a source of guidance in advancing neurological care across the region.
The Royer Award is given annually to a Bay Area neurologist who has made the most significant contribution to the advancement of neurology, with emphasis on service to the community, teaching excellence, and peer recognition.
