Nimisha Mishra-Shukla

Dr. Nimisha Mishra-Shukla has been serving the John Muir Health community as an Infectious Disease physician since 2007. 

Dr. Mishra is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. She did her Fellowship in Infectious Disease from Drexel University, Philadelphia, after finishing her Internal Medicine residency in UMDNJ. She accomplished a Master’s degree in Immunology, Microbiology and Cellular Biology from Southern Illinois University in Springfield. She earned her Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from King Georges Medical College, Lucknow, India. 

She is very passionate about Infectious Disease with special interest in clostridium difficile colitis, endocarditis, MRSA infections to name a few. She has served in leadership roles in John Muir including Department Chair and UC Davis leadership workshops.  

Her hobbies include reading world history and nonfiction, music, travelling, socializing and spending time with family and friends.
