About

Dr. Negar Sodeifi is a dual-board certified neurologist, with a subspecialty in Epilepsy, who is currently also working as a general neurologist. She graduated from SBU medical school, Tehran, Iran before moving to the United States and completing her neurology training at West Virginia University (WVU) in 2012. After her general neurology training, she moved to Charlottesville, VA and achieved her Epilepsy subspecialty training at the University of Virginia (UVA). After her training at the University of Virginia, Dr. Sodeifi moved with her husband to California. She joined the Neurology Medical Group of Diablo Valley in 2014.

Dr. Sodeifi enjoys caring for all types of neurological illnesses with a special interest in Epilepsy and headaches. As for credentials, Dr. Sodeifi is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Besides her general neurology skills, she has been trained in Epilepsy monitoring Units, outpatient EEG labs, specialty Epilepsy clinics and has extensive experience managing refractory seizures and status epilepticus. She has been trained in how to guide her medication management with the use of Video EEG monitoring and intracranial EEG monitoring. If medication management is inadequate, she also has experience with advanced techniques such as guidance with Epilepsy surgery and Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) placement.
