Katherine De Castro

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Katherine is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) who has always been deeply connected to her community and passionate about serving others. Her path to becoming a PA was shaped by a diverse background in healthcare, including work as a medical scribe and health coach in the emergency department, physical therapy aide, and behavioral technician. These roles gave her a broad perspective on patient care and highlighted the importance of strong provider-patient relationships. In addition to her clinical experience, Katherine has been actively involved in community health, including volunteering at th Alameda County Food Bank, teaching nutrition to elementary school students, and participating in medical outreach trips to Guatemala and the Philippines. These opportunities deepened her commitment to promoting health equity and serving underserved populations.

She completed her PA training at Bay Path University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and compassionate care. Her experiences across various healthcare settings inspired her to pursue a career in primary care, where she could build long-term relationships with patients and focus on prevention, wellness, and continuity of care.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys film photography, traveling to new places, reading, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and two beloved dogs. She is excited to bring her diverse experience and patient-centered approach to the primary care setting, where she is committed to supporting individuals and families in achieving their health goals.
