About

Katie Silva is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with just over 10 years of experience. She began her NP career at Central Coast Pediatrics in San Luis Obispo, where she developed a deep passion for partnering with families to support children’s health from the very beginning, which has continued over the many years and clinics she has worked at across the state. After moving away years ago, Katie is excited to return to the Central Coast as her husband begins a new role coaching women’s soccer at Cal Poly. Her journey as a mother to three children—including supporting her daughter through a life-changing injury—has profoundly shaped her approach to care. She brings deep empathy, firsthand understanding, and unwavering dedication to every family she serves. Katie earned her BS in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara, her BSN from Azusa Pacific University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from UC Irvine, where she was honored as Graduate Student of the Year. Her background includes pediatric intensive care training at Rady Children’s Hospital and nearly a decade of experience in both pediatric and family medicine. She is passionate about building strong, lasting relationships with her patients and families—offering guidance on preventive care, development, nutrition, and overall wellness. Outside of work, Katie loves spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys playing soccer, hiking, relaxing at the beach, and exploring the outdoors.
