Giving Back

430 Warm Coats Donated

Tis the season of giving! This year at BASS Medical Group, we wanted to give back in a way different than we have in the past.

So, we partnered up with One Warm Coat®, to put a warm coat on those in need this winter.

To most, having a warm coat is an after thought since we have a closet full of them. But to some, it’s a real need. Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively, and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget “extra.”

Using the One Warm Coat® network, we chose to partner with a local shelter for homeless women and children called “Love A Child Missions”.

Thursday December 6, 2018 we trucked over our boxes of donated coats and donated them in Bay Point, CA at the Love A Child Missions shelter located at 2279 Willow Pass Rd.

Special thanks to Jerome Knott, the Founding Director of Love A Child Missions for gracefully accepting our donation of coats. And a special thanks to our own Anisha Kalra, for putting together and organizing this successful coat drive for BASS Medical Group employee’s, of whom donated 430 warm coats in total.
