Biography

Inez Wondeh (58) is the Chief Executive Officer of BASS Medical Group, headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, and since 2021 has also served as California Market President of BASS Privia Management Company of California, LLC. She currently serves on the West America Bank Corporation, Board of Directors-Audit Committee, Employee Benefits and Compensation Committee, and the Loan and Investment Committee.

Ms. Wondeh joined BASS in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and has brought in more than 25 years of executive healthcare leadership experience. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in leading strategic growth and operational transformation initiatives across the organization. Under her leadership, BASS has significantly expanded its clinical and operational footprint, including the development of a comprehensive cancer center, imaging center, laboratory services, urgent care operations, and three ambulatory surgery centers, contributing to the organization’s expansion to 183 locations across Northern and Southern California.

Ms. Wondeh provides executive leadership across operations, financial oversight, banking relationships, healthcare technology, governance, and regulatory compliance, and is recognized for fostering high-performing teams and organizational alignment while advancing long-term strategic growth.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco. She is currently a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate at Saint Mary’s College of California, Moraga, with an expected graduation in May 2027.

In addition to her leadership at BASS, Ms. Wondeh is the Founder and Chairwoman of the Ngozi Educational and Healthcare Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to education and healthcare for children in rural Liberia, West Africa. In October 2026, the Foundation is expected to complete a 10,000-square-foot medical clinic that will serve underserved communities in Liberia.

Ms. Wondeh is also the Co-Founder of MiPHR, a mobile health (mHealth) technology startup focused on the prevention and management of diabetes and other chronic diseases through provider partnerships and scalable digital health solutions.

The Board believes that Ms. Wondeh is a visionary leader who has extensive experience in healthcare operations, finance, governance, and strategic planning, combined with her results-driven leadership and mission-focused perspective.
