Dr. Maureen Mbadike-Obiora is a family medicine physician certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and has practiced in the Bay Area since 2002. She is the current Chair of Family Medicine at John Muir Hospital in Concord, CA. Her practice takes a holistic patient-centered approach to providing care. This inheres in treating the patient, not just an ailment or disease, by understanding and appreciating all that the patient is going through. She believes in building respectful and lasting doctor-patient relationships that lead to improvements in lifestyle changes and the overall health of her patients.

Dr. Mbadike-Obiora’s special interest is in Women’s health and Geriatrics. She manages chronic medical conditions such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Lipid disorders, Depression, and Anxiety. She is married with two children and enjoys cooking. Dr. Mbadike-Obiora is also passionate about helping improve health care services in underserved communities and participates in medical missions to third world countries.
