Renu Liu, MD
Dr. Liu is a Radiologist with specialty training in imaging of the neuraxis, including imaging of the brain, spine, head, and neck.
Dr. Renu Liu grew up in Philadelphia and attended the Honors Program at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude. She stayed on the East Coast for medical school, attending Yale University School of Medicine. After medical school, she followed in her older sister’s footsteps and pursued a career in Radiology. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she had her first taste of California sunshine. After completing her residency, she went on to the bright lights of New York City to complete her fellowship in neuroradiology at the joint program with Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
After fellowship, Dr. Liu returned to Yale University as an assistant professor in neuroradiology. After spending a few years enduring the cold winters in Connecticut, Dr. Liu and her family decided to return to the Bay Area and joined BASS.
Dr. Liu works out of our San Ramon, Morgan Hill, and Walnut Creek offices.
In her free time, Dr. Liu enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, hiking, running, and exploring all the Bay area has to offer.
