Dr. Usha Murphy is a radiologist with specialty training in musculoskeletal radiology. Dr. Murphy was raised on the East Coast and attended medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia. She completed her radiology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and her musculoskeletal fellowship with Dr. Javier Beltran, a world renown musculoskeletal radiologist and former head of the international skeletal society. After many years in New York City, she decided she wanted to move away from the hectic city life and out to the beautiful West Coast. She is joining BASS after working as an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University and section head of musculoskeletal radiology and associate program director at Columbia’s Harlem Hospital radiology department. She has considerable experience in musculoskeletal imaging with a focus on sports imaging. She has a particular interest in improving patient care and healthcare delivery. She obtained her MBA with a focus on healthcare operations from Harvard Business School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids. She loves cooking, traveling, yoga and running.
