Radiology Tech Assistant

Job Description/Requirements:

Coordinate patient flow for busy outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Center

Assist Radiology Technologist with patient screening, patient preparation and obtain patient medical history.

Assist Radiology Technologist with patient positioning for MRI,CT, X-ray and Fluoroscopy

Assure the patient flow is coordinated for maximum efficiency

Assist front office with check-in and scheduling

Communicate STAT results to Radiologist

Assist with medical records when necessary

Attend staff meetings (may take place outside of scheduled shift)

Provide compassionate, friendly and professional care to patients

Contact referring provider office for exam details when appropriate

Demonstrate computer efficiency.
Demonstrate necessary skills and knowledge to coordinate work flow.
Assist with the organization and preparation of office projects.
Prepare reports accurately and timely.
Communicate effectively both oral and written.
Plan and organize work effectively and efficiently.
Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate dependability.
Participate in professional development and training activities.

Successfully complete EPIC training

Job Requirements

2 years’ experience in the medical field

1-year minimum experience in radiology

1-year experience in patient care coordination

Excellent customer service skills

Compassionate, caring and professional

Ability to work with all radiology departments
