Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
California Sinus Centers, a division of BASS Medical Group, is a premier center of excellence in Northern California for the care of patients with disorders of the nose and sinuses. We are seeking a part time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Walnut Creek location, to join our team in providing the highest quality of care for our patients. Potential for full time employment with practice growth.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Job duties include providing care for otolaryngology patients, primarily focusing on management of patients with sinonasal conditions in the outpatient setting. The NP or PA will work in collaboration with the physician, a well as developing their own practice with new and follow-up patient visits.
Responsibilities include performing histories and physical exams, ordering of ancillary tests, patient education, phone calls for prescriptions/lab results and coordination of care. Our extenders also perform a variety of otolaryngology procedures, including nasal endoscopy, sinus debridement, and obtaining sinus cultures. Training, if necessary, will be provided, until competence is demonstrated.
Minimum Training and Education: Nurse Practitioner requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing with two years of clinical experience, one of which must have been in a specialty area of nursing. Specializing in otolaryngology preferred, but not required. Physician assistant must have graduated from an accredited physician assistant program. Their licensure as a PA much be current in the State of California.
PA must be board certified from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Currently eligible or licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse of Physician Assistant in the state of CA.
PA board certified from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) is preferred. Active DEA number from the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
