Lead Mammography Technologist

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced mammography technologist to help develop a new outpatient breast center in the East Bay. We are looking for an individual who is familiar with obtaining ACR and Federal MQSA certifications, experience in establishing a state of the art breast center focused on the patient experience. Someone who has experience with stereotactic breast biopsy. Leadership skills, flexibility, and patient care coordination required.

Obtain mammography images with compassion and professionalism

Directly involves a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation and/or other forms of energy to provide diagnostic images.

Maintains competency in all areas of licensure for self and all supervised staff.

Provides leadership for technical and support staff within assigned areas of responsibility.

Responsible for providing and maintaining adequate coverage and coordination of activities within assigned areas of responsibility.

Provides support and training assistance to all assigned staff, maintains all equipment and equipment certifications, including ACR for Mammography and Ultrasound.

Experience in assisting with stereotactic biopsy

Experience in obtaining ACR and Federal MQSA Certification

The position requires the acquisition of high-quality images,

Coordinate records and communication regarding BI-RAD results

Maintain data for quality management, excellent customer service skills and the exercise of mature and independent judgment.

Lead technologist well demonstrates professionalism, positive attitude to provide patients with personalized care.

Work with Center Manager to develop an efficient, high-quality, patient-focused Breast Center



Successful completion of AMA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology required (RT)

Licensures and Certifications

Mammography (CRTM) license

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT required.

Certified Radiologic Technologist – CRT required.

Basic Life Support Certification – BLS required.


Minimum of 5 years as a radiology technologist in the area of certifications. Competent in professional, technical and leadership skills
